Form Onload need to evaluate fields and make read only

I'm a beginner first of all.

I have a form that will travel to multiple people. If a field is previoulsy filled in by one person, it must be read only to the next person when form loads. Need to evaluate the field, if data exists make field read only or disable field.
Can you help? Thanks
