The problem is that I have to get the source of HTTPS URL, so therefore get("url...") doesn't work. :(

Can anybody be kind enough to help or even point me in the right direction?

You'll have to see if you have the module, dont think its default.

http://search.cpan.org/~sampo/Net_SSLeay.pm-1.25/SSLeay.pm

there may be others that do the same, but dont know of them.
