positioning ContentPlaceHolder  JimInCO at 17:03 on Saturday, March 24, 2007

I have a master page with 2 ContentPlaceHolders. I want to use absolute positioning for them. The only 2 ways I have found that work are to put them in individual tables or to put them in <div> tags.

Both ways have problems.

In individual tables, they don't retain that size in the content pages.

The <div> tag works better, except for one thing. I have a navigation menu control whose dynamic items extent into the area where the ContentPlaceHolder is and the dynamic items are behind the ContentPlaceHolder, not in front of it where they should be.

Is there a better way to position ContentPlaceHolders?

I have been told that styles will work but I have also read that styles can't be applied to ContentPlaceHolders directly.
