Hi guys,
as sent in the email to you - I thought I`d copy it here too: while we don`t officially offer technical support, we don`t want unhappy customers either! Can you tell me what kind of problem you are having with the script - I assure you it`s the same as the live demo. Have you checked the readme file and followed the instructions there? If you could give me a detailed account of the problem I will try to help.

The problem I am having is that when you add something to your cart, the cart page is not adding a line or another item to the cart.
The only thing that happens is it adds ONE item to the cart, not multiples, and not two lines like say,
the book and the other item, making a total of two separate items in the cart.
Also when you try to update the field in one of the rows in the cart from 1 of that item to 2, it akes you back to that page and says there is nothing in your cart to update.
It seems like session is not passing between the two pages default.asp and cart.asp
How can I make this work AS IS with the code you had me download directly from your site? It seems like a variable or a page is missing.

Thanks for that Faith. I`m going to go and look at the code and see if it`s anything at our end.

Hi again Faith
I downloaded the version on the site and installed it on a Windows 2000 machine using IIS5. On my machine I accessed it via the http://localhost and put it in a directory called shopping_cart/
I then changed the home_dir variable in declareinc.asp to http://localhost/shopping_cart/ (as requested in the readme file) - the script worked straight off with no further changes.
Can I ask you to give the full domain path and the path you supplied in home_dir (including any slashes) and also whether you moved the database at all. Other than that can you tell me your operating system details. If you don`t want to give these details on the site, please email them to me.
Thanks
David

same as you are using but I unzipped the who;e thing in a dir called cart/ so it is on "c:/inetpub/wwwroot/aa/cart" or http://lap_fwarren/aa/cart
I can download again and try it (for the third time)...

cool do you know what it was??? the directory was not made an application dorectory in IIS. So it is working now! Man.... That was so frustrating! Thanks guys!

Relieved to hear it`s working faith - but it shouldn`t have to be an application. Looking at your post I`d say it was because you missed the trailing slash off the home_dir variable as in http://lap_fwarren/aa/cart/
instead of http://lap_fwarren/aa/cart
Anyway, glad you`re happy, now where`s James??

hi i have just purchased codetoad plus Shopping Cart Script, and would like to know how to intergrate it into an existing webpage so that a hyperlink can be created so that when the link is selected it will start up the shopping cart. also is the default.asp page the main page that gets the information from the other asp pages within the shopping cart program. any help would be much appreciated.
